Assistant Stylist & Writer

About |
Hello! I’m Donna and having been steering my career towards the wonderful world of interiors over the past two years.
I currently write my own blog http://www.thatssocool.co.uk that I set up about two years ago. During that time I have been writing about designers and their products and in particular covering most of the UK and international trade shows. My favourites being Salone del Mobile, Maison et Objet and LDW, all of which I have attended for the past three years. I would graciously welcome any further writing opportunities. I have had work published by brands such as Amara and Treniq, but it would be a dream to be published in any of the mainstream interiors publications. So if you’re a busy writer and need an extra pair of hands, or eyes, or ears then please get in touch!
Additionally, I would love to gain some hands-on experience as an Assistant Interior Stylist. I am exceptionally eager to learn more about the photographic styling process and believe I come equipped with a few of the essential skills necessary to be a useful and effective Assistant.
My background is in the film industry where I have worked for the past 15 years(!) as a freelance Assistant Production Accountant. As dull as this may sound, it has awarded me great experience with spreadsheets and I’m certainly not phased by filling out expense forms and dealing with budgets! It has also taught me to work well under pressure, to be incredibly flexible and I am very much accustomed to being a ‘fly by the seat of your pants’ kinda gal working in a fast-paced, often makeshift, production environment. I am familiar with the prop hiring process and can make an awesome cup of tea!
Please feel free to get in touch!
